Visitation

Visitation Ministry

“Feed my sheep.”

          John 21:17

Currently at Salem, we have a vital visitation ministry.  Each of our ministers, Pastor Art, Pastor Jason, and Daryl, Director of Youth and Family Ministry, visits individuals and families extensively.   Pastor Art, for example, may personally touch 100 people or more each month outside of weekend services.

In addition, our Deacons and Lay Leader visit people on a regular basis, particularly widows and homebound people, who tend to be lonely and have spiritual needs that would otherwise be unmet.

Our Women’s Ministry also gets in on the act!  Woman to woman ministry is a growing area at Salem, with spiritually mature women reaching out and offering a helping hand to those women who need special encouragement in their lives.

Our G.R.A.C.E. ministry also visits with people in the community who have been brought to our attention as having special needs.  These may include families who have recently moved into our community, or who have experienced a major life change, such as a birth, a death, a marriage, an accident or fire.

We at Salem want to feed God’s sheep, and tend His flock.  Perhaps you feel called to bring warmth and love into the lives of others, and would like to join one of our many visitation-oriented ministries!
